An overview of vocal music works by German and Austrian composers of the 19th and 20th centuries, with a reflection on German poetry in the song cycles, in tandem with the visual arts, from Romanticism to Modern Art. Taught in English.

Practice in contemporary spoken and written German. Systematic review of grammar, and exercises in composition. Emphasis on cultural contrasts in the German-speaking world.
