Corequisite: Any of STAT100, STAT4XX, BIOM301, MATH141 or higher, MATH135 or higher, or permission of the instructor. Restrictions: Must be a major within the biological, Biochemical, or Public Health sciences departments; or obtain permission of the instructor.

This course will teach life science majors the basics of the Bash shell, scripting, and the command line environment. Students will learn about navigating the shell, using and combining commands, and basic scripting, all in the context of biologically relevant applications. No prior programming experience is assumed.
