Examine contemporary leadership theories and effective leadership practice through the lens of sport, sports organizations, and the sports industry at large. Students will analyze leadership approaches and innovations in athletics, as well as leadership applications to current trends and issues in sport such as mental health, athletic activism, and player/team experience. Students will have the opportunity to engage with current and former sports industry leaders as a part of a class consulting project.
