Reviews major development and security challenges in Africa and explores the interplay between these two spheres. Economic growth, civil conflict, democratic governance, terrorism, natural resource management, external intervention and migration are among the many focus areas that are addressed. Special attention will be also paid to how these issues play out and intersect in particular country-contexts and sub-regions of the African continent, including East Africa and the Sahel.
