Historically, French has played a key role in the development and organization of International Relations. It remains an important tool for diplomats and an official working language of major international organizations. Students will be introduced to the French vocabulary and terminology specific to diplomatic discourse and the field of International Relations. Through French-speaking media analysis and simulated work-related situations in an international context, students will learn how to pitch a project, present a country situation, give a thematic presentation, and engage in successful negotiations. Students will also acquire the skills and proficiency to understand and produce professional documents used in the International Relations field. Taught in French.
