Restriction: Permission of ENGR-Fischell Department of Bioengineering department.
Covers the fundamental principles of major biomedical imaging techniques, including X-ray Imaging, Computer Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound Imaging, Nuclear Medicine Imaging (SPECT/PET/CT), Optical Coherent Tomography (OCT), and Optical and Hyperspectral Imaging. The course will explore the underlying concepts of imaging system architectures, image reconstruction algorithms, and software implementation. Additionally, it will discuss the clinical interpretation of biomedical images and newer ways to use images for bio-related applications for diagnosis and analysis.
