Additional information: This is the first course in the First-Year Innovation & Research Experience (FIRE) program sequence.
Engages the research process through the design, research, collaborative authorship and iterative refinement to establish an original research trajectory. Students find and analyze primary and secondary sources, think creatively, identify gaps in existing literature, and communicate a research plan in a scholarly fashion. Students work collaboratively to solve scientific and societal problems using technology and creative inquiry through productive team communication.
