Grad Meth: Reg
Prerequisite: Must have completed one year of graduate study in Applied Statistics.
Restriction: Must have approved AMSC760 project proposal.
A semester-long applied statistical project (a minimum 10 hours per week or 120 hours in total), in an internship or collaborative research-laboratory setting working on a substantive applied quantitative project with significant statistical content. One option for the collaborative project is training in statistical consulting, with activities consisting of training and role-playing sessions with the Course Instructor coupled with actual non-paid short-term consulting sessions with campus graduate student and faculty clients about statistical aspects of their research.
