Prerequisite: ACTLF Novice Low proficiency in all language skills, or must have attained appropriate World Language Placement score.

Formerly: CHIN101.
Introduces Chinese phonetic system and writing system; develops students' Chinese proficiency on the basic linguistic skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing as well as their cultural competence.

Elementary Chinese II
