Explores the relationships between aesthetic innovations and political writing from the 1940s onwards through literary works and films by French writers and filmmakers. These works are brought into dialogue with the main artistic movements and political conflicts that have shaped France during the second part of the 20th century, in particular WWII and its aftermaths, the Algerian War and May '68. Taught in French.
