Prerequisite: Must have appropriate World Language Placement (WLP) score.
Restriction: Must not be a native/fluent speaker of Korean; and must be in the Summer Language Institute; and must have permission of the School of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures.
Credit only granted for: KORA101 or KORA103.
Additional information: Native/fluent speakers of Korean or students who have previously attended school in Korea should take the WLP and see the Korean Program Advisor to identify the correct Korean course for which to register.
Intensive introduction to the Korean language at the elementary level through a highly interactive approach, including oral, reading, and writing skills (Hangeul alphabet). Substantial cultural component familiarizes students with various aspects of Korean culture. Designed for students with no formal education in the Korean language. Taught in Korean.
