Restriction: Must be in MS Applied Economics program; or with permission from the program director.
Applies microeconomic theory to the analysis of legal rules and institutions. Topics include property rights, externalities, contract theory, bargain theory, remedies, industrial organization, patents, damages, and antitrust.

Must be in Graduate Programs in Applied Economics, WDC. All other graduate students must request permission. Contact exst@umd.edu. Golden ID students are not eligible for this section.

This section will be mostly in-person, with weekly in-person meetings at the noted times. The weekly class meetings will be at 1400 16th Street, NW in Washington, DC. The online requirements will include mandatory weekly online discussions. Some additional online content may be required.
