Grand Challenges of Our Time

Restriction: Must have Freshmen standing.
An introduction to and solutions to society's grand challenges. Students meet with President Pines once a week and then in small discussion sections with two instructors. Previous topics have included literacy, Black Lives Matter, Covid, environmental justice, poverty, and voting and civic engagement.
