Analysis and design of retaining walls and shoring structures and their bracing systems. These include conventional retaining walls, mechanically stabilized earth walls, cantilever and anchored sheet piling, cellular cofferdams, braced cuts, soil nailing, and the design of tiebacks and anchors. Load and resistance factor design concept will be presented.
