An advanced course introducing students to the computational tools used to analyze microbiome data. The course follows an analysis pipeline from sequence generation to statistical analyses. Emphasis is placed on the theoretical underpinnings of the computational tools used to analyze microbiome data to enable students to critically design analysis strategies for various types of data (targeted and untargeted sequencing) and experimental designs. To be successful in this course, the students must have statistical and computational maturity.
