Information, Game Theory and Market Design

Prerequisite: ECON641; and must have completed or be concurrently enrolled in ECON644.
Restriction: Must be in MS Applied Economics program; or with permission from the program director.
Focuses on the interplay between information and incentives among multiple agents across a wide variety of settings. Students will learn how to analyze, critique, and optimize decision-making processes according to noncooperative game theory. Examples can include real-world market practices such as duopolies, auctions, contracts, negotiations, signaling/screening, market design etc.
