This seminar examines the intersection of climate change, environmental politics, natural disasters, and social inequality, focusing especially on case studies from the Americas. Students will gain critical tools to analyze environmental and climate policy through comparative and global frameworks and apply them to real-world challenges. The course follows a seminar format, where students come to class having carefully read the assigned readings for the week beforehand and are prepared to work with peers on problem-solving to advance course projects.
