Examines the events and movements that shaped the lives of Europeans in the twentieth century, including the world wars and their aftermath, the rise of fascism and communism, the Holocaust, decolonization, the 1968 uprisings, and the emergence of the European Union. We will emphasize not just what happened, but how ordinary individuals experienced these developments and the ways in which global events influenced daily life and culture.
