How can we use environmental methods to approach storytelling? Today, scholars and writers are adopting ecological analysis to share, interrogate, and even imagine histories that have been hidden by a number of forces, such as colonialism and imperialism, capitalism, whitesupremacy, and our understandings of nature itself. In this course we wrestle with how a wide range of thinkers-from biologists to novelists, historians, geographers, and agronomists-use ecological and historical methods to expand the very nature of storytelling.
