This seminar examines the evolving aesthetics, sociopolitical engagements, and transnational collaborations of theatre and performance in the Middle East. We explore theatrical experimentations and revised historiographies within shifting contexts and trajectories. Readings include historical texts, dramatic literature, and critical scholarship, complemented by archival materials and performance recordings.
