Introduction to the various applications of genetics to human health, familial diseases, the analysis of molecular mechanisms through which genes cause disease, and diagnosis/treatment of genetic diseases. Topics include immunogenetics, genetic testing, and genetic counseling. Case studies will provide an opportunity to apply the knowledge.
