Designed for scholars and practitioners who work in a global context, this course applies a critical lens to leadership approaches while students engage in applied leadership training. Using multimedia dialogue, research, and case studies, students will explore working in diverse teams, facilitating projects in a virtual, remote capacity, and leading project implementation of international initiatives. The course emphasizes both the process of learning and working in a team, as well as the end product. This is a Global Classrooms course, developed in partnership with the Global Learning Initiatives Office (GLI) in the Office of International Affairs (OIA) to provide virtual opportunities for global engagement.
Class meets online Tuesday, January 6th, 5:15-7:00pm, Thursdays, January 8th, 15th, 22nd, 5:15-7:00pm, and Saturdays, January 10th & 17th, 10:00am - 12:30pm. Additionally, students will be expected to meet with their HerRising counterparts throughout the week and attend two check-ins with instructors (to be scheduled on January 13th and 20th).
