Examines the fundamentals of database management systems (DBMS), emphasizing data models, query processing, data warehouses, and their role in developing business information systems. Students will master key concepts and gain hands-on experience using industry-standard platforms. They will leverage artificial intelligence (AI) assistants and apply prompt engineering techniques to enhance productivity. The course also explores the value of information resources and common information management challenges within organizations.
