This interdisciplinary course explores the intersection of artificial intelligence and music, tracing its evolution from historical compositional methodologies to contemporary generative AI systems. Students will critically engage with the philosophical, legal, and artistic implications of AI in music while gaining hands-on experience with AI-driven music creation tools. Designed for students across disciplines (you don't need any musical skills/reading ability), including music, arts and humanities, philosophy, and information science.
