In this course, students will examine Russia as a case study in how the gradual erosion of press freedom can lead to irreversible consequences for democracy and human rights across an entire society -- including a focused analysis of Russian online disinformation campaigns prior to the 2014 invasion of Donbas and Luhansk, and the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
