Prerequisite: C- or better in BSCI207, BSCI330, and MATH140; and permission of BSCI (email bscique@umd.edu). Credit only granted for: BSCI439E or BIOE411.
A review of the fundamental principles involved in the design of engineered tissues and organs. Both biological and engineering ibndamentals will be considered.
(Sponsoring Dept.: BSCI). Acceptable toward BSCI Area credits of CEBG and PHNB; Enrichment for ECEV and MICB; and the Cell Biology category of GENB.
Only one course of the following can be applied to a BSCI degree: BSCI439E, BSCI439G, BSCI439I, BSCI439J, and BSCI439K.
