Prerequisite: Minimum grade of C- or higher in CMSC421 or CMSC422 or equivalent. Restriction: Must be in the Computer Science Master's or Doctoral programs, or permission of instructor.

Students will study cutting-edge advanced research topics in machine learning and biomedical data science. The main objective is to cover the underlying mathematical concepts and representative algorithms, paper reading, and implementation. The course project will implement the deep learning model with solving image classification tasks.
