Prereq: Minimum grade of C- in ENEE322 or ENEE323
This course provides an examination of satellite telecommunication systems and their underlying principles. Students will explore orbital mechanics and constellation design, including the selection and optimization of orbital parameters for various applications. The curriculum covers propagation phenomena affecting satellite communications, link budget analysis, and the mitigation of interferenceand other operational challenges. Through analysis of both current and proposed mobile satellite systems, students will gain practical understanding of real-world implementations. Hands-on projectsinclude training in Systems Tool Kit (STK) software for satellite systemmodeling and analysis.
