Prerequisite: Minimum of C- in ENEE245
Hardware security is a major research topic due to threats such as untrusted foundries, untrusted designers, and untrusted users. Students in this course will be introduced to hardware security threats such as IP theft, Trojans, side channels, and others. Through a series of assignments, the students will gain experience analyzing hardware security vulnerabilities and designing associated mitigation schemes. A combination of Cadence tools and the open-source ABC synthesis tool will be used in this course.
