This course will offer students the principles and methods of conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses, key approaches in evidence-based decision-making. Students will gain knowledge on the step by step process of conducting systematic reviews including how to develop clear research questions, to design and register review protocols, to conduct comprehensive searches for relevant studies, to critically review and synthesize primary research studies and to review the quality and bias of included studies using established tools. Students will also learn how to perform quantitative synthesis using meta-analytic techniques.
