Addressing critical human challenges requires effective communication of information. Visualization can provide powerful means to motivate research, communicate findings, and improve our approaches. This course aims to provide an understanding of the theory underpinning the field of data visualization and to provide an introduction to the practicalities of creating effective graphical representations of data. The course will develop the skills to process different kinds of data for effective visualization using modern data science workflow tools supported in R.
