This course examines the historical evolution and diverse ideologies of the Zionist movement, from its 19th century origins to the creation of Israel. Students explore key thinkers, debates, and texts that shaped Zionist thoughts, its responses to modernity and antisemitism, and its impact on Jewish identity and Middle Eastern politics, leading to the formation of the State of Israel.
