Cybersecurity exists to serve human needs and human values. Because the success and failure of cybersecurity technologies and policies depend on humans, information management professionals who are engaged with cybersecurity and risk management need to understand both the technical and the human aspects of their organization's security. This course will focus on the human side of cybersecurity, including ethical concerns and organizational concerns like cybersecurity culture. Students will engage with ethical and equity issues in security, discuss the boundedly rational behavior of people and organizations around security, and consider the maintenance and measurement of security culture.
