Prerequisite: At least one graduate-level statistics course
Course Description: Large existing survey data are a powerful yet underutilized resource for scientists interested in studying human behavior. This graduate-level applied statistical methods course will guide students in breaking down barriers to engaging in secondary data analyses of large survey data. We will cover topics such as complex survey designs and recruitment approaches, generalizability, statistical power, preregistration, reproductivity. To accomplish these goals, students wilidentify one publicly available survey dataset and engage in secondary data anaylysis of a research question of their choosing.
