This class is a writing and revision-heavy course that results in the development of the doctoral dissertation prospectus. The class introduces graduate students to the elements of a prospectus and of crafting a successful dissertation project. These include: premise, scope, justification, literature review, methods/methodology, theory/concept, resources, chapter breakdown, bibliography, and timeline. This will include strategies for locating and using appropriate research materials along with strategies for communicating research findings through the prospectus.
