Prerequisite: C- or better in BSCI170 or BIOE120.
(Sponsoring Dept: BIOL). Acceptable toward Biological Sciences Specialization Areas: CEBG (Additional Credits), GENB (Additional Credits), and PHNB.
This course examines how physical principles shape the structure and function of living cells. Using a mechanistic and interdisciplinary approach, students will explore topics such as membranes, transport, signaling, energy conversion, and cellular organization. The course connects concepts from physics, chemistry, and biology to explain how cells operate as dynamic living systems.
