Popular media accounts suggest contradictory answers to this question, reporting that a significant number of young Americans are having less sex and fewer children compared to historical cohorts, while other reports claim increased activity among older Americans. This course explores sexuality as a social structure and an important pattern of how we live, using theory and data to explore the demographic differences amongst Americans regarding sexual ideas and behaviors.
