Explores the kinds of writing that art museum and gallery professionals engage in every day, including the crafting of curatorial narratives, wall label texts for exhibitions, scripts for docent tours, public lectures, grant application narratives, donor communications, and socialmedia copy, among other genres. We will examine how art museums use various forms of writing to communicate complex ideas with diverse audiences, and acquire hands-on experience writing about visual art in avariety ofcontexts.
