Focusing on Francophone literature, film, and other cultural forms from the Middle East and its diasporas, examines the question of home in relation to belonging, displacement, and identity. Exploring the poeticsand politics of home, we will consider how exile, war, migration,and loss reshape relationships to place, language, family, andcultural heritage, and how home is remembered, imagined, inherited, or reconstructed across borders and generations. Taught in French.
