Focusing on Francophone literature, film, and other cultural forms from the Middle East and its diasporas, this seminar examines the question ofhome in relation to belonging, displacement, and identity. Exploring the poetics and politics of home, we will consider how exile, war, migration, and loss reshape relationships to place, language, family, and cultural heritage, and how home is remembered, imagined, inherited, or reconstructed across borders and generations.
