Credits: 3
Grad Meth: Reg, Aud
Introduces the fundamental concepts, tools, and applications of geospatial science. Students learn how geographic data are collected, represented, managed, and analyzed using geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing. Emphasis is placed on spatial thinking, map interpretation, coordinate systems, and basic spatial analysis. Real-world examples from environmental studies, urban planning, and public health are used to demonstrate how geospatial technologies support decision-making.
