Prerequisites: PSYC100 and PSYC300. Restriction: Must be a Psychology major.

This course is designed to provide a deep understanding of the etiology, presentation and treatment of ADHD across the lifespan, from a developmental psychopathology perspective. Students will become familiar with the diagnostic criteria for ADHD, ways ADHD manifests across the lifespan, and associated impairment and co-occurring conditions, in addition to contextual risk and protective factors that influence long-term outcomes. Students will also be exposed to several well-validated, manualized interventions for individuals with ADHD across the lifespan and the supporting research, including a focus on cultural sensitivity and health disparities. Course goals will be accomplished via readings, videos, and most importantly critical thinking and discussion given the seminar format.
