An introductory graduate level course in behavioral neuroscience that will consider what we can learn about brain and behavior from studies of humans and non-human animals. It is designed for graduate students with little specific training in this area. Topics include an introducti on to the comparative and evolutionary approach to the study of human and animal behavior, the biobehavioral basis of sexuality and social behavior, the physiological basis of higher cortical functions in humans including language, memory, and spatial perception, and an introduction to neuropharmacology.
